CNC Machine Operator- 2nd and 3rd Shift

Fristam Pumps, a leading manufacturer of high quality stainless steel pumps, mixers and blenders, has immediate openings on 2nd and 3rd shifts for machine operators in our Middleton, WI manufacturing facility. This position includes set ups, checking routine programs and operating manual, automatic or semi-automatic NC machine tools and/or CNC machining equipment to perform standard and/or repetitive sequences of operations to meet close tolerance and finish requirements.

Qualified candidates will have 3-5 years of experience with manual, NC and/or CNC machining equipment and operations. Knowledge of machine shop practices and techniques, machine operation and tooling required. Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail a must. Must be able to lift 40-45 lbs frequently and sit or stand for long periods of time.

CNC Machine Programmer

Fristam Pumps USA is looking for a CNC machine programmer that would like to show off their skills. Fristam has new state of the art horizontal mills, 5-axis turning lathes, lathes with live tooling and others to make high precision parts. The qualified person will be setting up cells in the area to utilize the maximum capacity of the equipment. Training of the cell team will also be part of the role. The candidate will also be working with other areas in the company to ensure smooth flow of the product through the manufacturing process.

Qualified candidates will:

• Have a minimum of three (3) years of experience with CNC machining equipment and operations preferably in a quick changeover environment

• Have a solid understanding of programming principals, applications and tooling required

• Prove ability to go from concept to completion with a task and/or project a must

•  Have knowledge of machine shop practices and techniques, machine operation and tooling required

• Work with accuracy and attention to detail

 • Be able to lift 40-45 lbs.

• Frequently and sit or stand for long periods of time

Polisher

Fristam Pumps, a leading manufacturer of high quality stainless steel pumps, mixers and blenders, has an immediate opening on second shift for a polisher in our Middleton, WI manufacturing facility. 

POSITION: Polisher 

REPORTS TO: Polishing/Welding Supervisor

SHIFT: 2nd Shift, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

DUTIES INCLUDE:
• Polish and grind parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand tools and power tools as needed.
• Load and adjust work pieces onto equipment or work tables, using hand tools when needed.
• Measure and mark equipment, objects, or parts to ensure polishing standards are met.
• Select abrasives, according to materials, sizes and shapes or work pieces, amount of stock to be removed, finishes specified, and steps in finishing processes.
• Verify quality of finished work pieces by inspecting them, comparing them to templates, measuring their dimensions, or testing tem.
• Mark defects for possible rework.
• Set up, operate or tend grinding and related tools that remove excess material or burrs from surfaces, sharpen and or break edges or corners, buff, hone or polish stainless steel work pieces.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
• Ability to read and understand all job tags.
• Must be able to frequently lift 40-45 pounds and occasionally lift 75 pounds.
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to grip and apply pressure to tool or part.
• Attention to detail to ensure a high level of visual quality parts
• Requires frequent and repetitive arm and hand motions.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience polishing and grinding
• Experience using a variety of hand tools 
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
