Assembler – 1st Shift

Fristam Pumps USA, a leading manufacturer of high quality stainless steel pumps, mixers and blenders, has an immediate opening on 1st shift for an assembler in our Middleton, WI manufacturing facility.

This position is responsible for assembling Fristam products according to drawings and specifications which meet performance, quality, and customer delivery expectations.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications to assure accurate assembly of products including preparation of components before assembly and testing, and inspection after completion at a normal level of efficiency to meet production standards.
• Assemble parts or unit & attach unit to assembly, sub-assembly, or frame, using hand tools and power tools.
• Perform wiring operations in accordance with specifications as part of unit assembly.
• Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
• Prepare all pumps and parts to meet delivery schedules; visually inspect all pumps prior to boxing/crating to ensure a quality product is shipped.
• Spray surfaces of equipment with protective material such as primer, paint, enamel or epoxy.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent with 1-3 years of related experience and/or training. To perform the job successfully, individuals must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints and have experience with portable power tools and hand tools. Candidates must possess the desire to help maintain a lean working environment and support continuous improvement projects within the company. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift 40-45 lbs frequently; up to 75 lbs occasionally. Basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred. Previous manufacturing experience desired.

Customer Service Representative

We have an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated, team-oriented individual to join our Customer Service department as a Customer Service Representative. This position is responsible for providing a variety of customer services through application of knowledge of Fristam’s products and services.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:
• Answer customer calls regarding, orders, quotes, returns, and general questions about Fristam products.
• Enter quotes and provide technical feedback to distributors
• Enter orders based on quotes and or customer purchase orders.
• Provide customer support including basic sizing and basic troubleshooting of the Fristam product line.

The qualified candidate will have proficient order processing, customer service and telephone skills; possess excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to learn and understand the pump and sanitary industry requirements; and have a high level of technical aptitude. An associate’s degree in a technical discipline with 1-2 years of previous customer service experience preferred. In lieu of degree, a minimum of five (5) years of customer service experience supporting a technical product line will be considered.

QA Inspector

Fristam Pumps USA, a leading manufacturer of pumps and mixers for the food, dairy and pharmaceutical industries located in Middleton, WI has an excellent opportunity for a QA Inspector (M-F, 7-3 p.m.).

This position will be responsible to provide support to manufacturing, purchasing, engineering and sales by conducting a variety of inspection activities.  Duties will include:

• Visually and dimensionally inspect purchased and manufactured product
• Perform ISIR’s on parts from new vendors
• Review MTRs and C of Cs for traceability, maintain documents for efficient retrieval and create Product Contact Reports as required
• Assist in gage calibration activities
• Operate a pre-programmed CNC coordinate measuring machine as needed

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent with training in the use of basic inspection equipment and a minimum of one year related experience. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and to use basic gages and measuring equipment is required. Individuals must have a customer and company-focused attitude with a high attention to detail. Basic computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office programs required. Must be able to lift 40-45 lbs frequently and sit or stand for long periods of time.

Machine Operator – 2nd Shift

Fristam Pumps USA, a leading manufacturer of pumps and mixers for the food, dairy and pharmaceutical industries, has an immediate opening on 2nd shift (M-F, 3-11 p.m.) for a machine operator in our Middleton, WI manufacturing facility. This position includes set ups, checking routine programs and operating manuals, automatic or semi-automatic NC machine tools and/or CNC machining equipment to perform standard and/or repetitive sequences of operations to meet close tolerance and finish requirements.

Qualified candidates will have experience with manual, NC and/or CNC machining equipment and operations. Knowledge of machine shop practices and techniques, machine operation and tooling required. Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail a must. Must be able to lift 40-45 lbs frequently and sit or stand for long periods of time.
