Applications Engineer

Fristam Pumps USA, a leading manufacturer of pumps and mixers for the food, dairy and pharmaceutical industries located in Middleton, has an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated, customer-focused individual as an Applications Engineer. This position will be responsible for working directly with Fristam’s distributors and end-users to provide technical solutions, troubleshooting assistance, and quotations on company products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
• Telephone communications with customers regarding standard and special applications, quotes, orders, deliveries, problems, etc.
• Provide application engineering support including sizing, basic troubleshooting of the Fristam product line.
• Provide field support to end users and distributors as required

The qualified candidate will possess strong technical aptitude, excellent written and verbal communication skills, effective problem solving skills and proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction.  A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.  Experience in a customer-facing role in a manufacturing environment supporting a technical product line desired. Ability to travel to customers as needed. Bi-lingual English and Spanish a plus.

Design Engineer

Fristam Pumps USA, a leading manufacturer of pumps and mixers for the food, dairy and pharmaceutical industries located in Middleton, WI, has an excellent opportunity for a highly-organized, self-motivated individual as a Design Engineer. This hands-on position will be responsible for leading design projects from inception to completion for new or special products through conducting critical and complex research on designs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
• Establish engineering concepts and organize plan for research, development, design and integration into production
• Research and design new products according to ISO 9001-2000 design project procedures
• Create programs or recommend programs for the aid of designing new products
• Troubleshoot problems in manufacturing area and find solutions to eliminate those problems

The qualified candidate will demonstrate initiative and leadership through present and past job duties, projects, and assignments; possess clear, confident communication, both written and verbal, with a variety of people; and demonstrated capability to initiate and complete projects and plans on-time. A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required with a minimum of five years of experience in pump manufacturing or similar environment.
