Materials
All standard stainless steel components are 316L. Special castings are available in low-ferrite stainless steel or high-performance alloys. Elastomers are available in Buna, Viton, Class VI, EPDM, Kalrez, Chemraz, and Silicone. Available seal materials include carbon, stainless steel, ceramic, silicon carbide and tungsten carbide.

Finishes
Standard Fristam products have a 32 Ra internal surface finish. Enhanced internal surface finishes to 15 Ra are available on most products. Electropolishing is performed in-house to maintain high quality standards and reduce delivery times.

Drainable Configurations
Having a completely drainable product is critical for the long-term system cleanliness. A variety of casing drain and mounting options provides this capability. They range from 1/2" to 1" in straight, curved and recirculating versions.

Sterilizable (SIP) Configurations
All Fristam pumps can be easily adapted for steam-in-place sterilization. No external cooling devices are required for seals or other components. In fact, most Fristam pumps can be run with steam condensate as the seal flush fluid.

    Because Fristam has full machining capabilities in-house, we can provide 'super alloys' pumps when others cannot.

    Hastelloy® 
    Versatile, corrosion resistant alloy. Very good resistance to reducing, and mildly oxidizing corrosives. Excellent stress corrosion cracking resistance.

    AL-6XN® 
    A super-austenitic metal alloy designed to resist crevice corrosion, pitting, chloride-induced corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking.
