About the job

This position works directly with Fristam’s channel partners and end-users to deliver expert technical support, provide troubleshooting assistance, and develop accurate quotations for company products. Serves as a trusted resource for application solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction and promoting Fristam’s commitment to quality and reliability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Customer Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, including product applications, quotes, orders, deliveries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Customer Technical Support: Provide troubleshooting assistance and expert technical support for the Fristam product line, including sizing and application inquiries.
  • ERP System Proficiency: Learn, utilize, and stay proficient in the Pro Alpha ERP system for order tracking, inventory, and customer management.
  • Collaboration with Global Teams: Maintain effective communication with Fristam Germany and other sister companies for technical support, serial numbers, parts, and basic product information.
  • Quality Management System Support: Support and comply with Fristam’s Quality Management System, ensuring that all processes meet internal and external standards.
  • In-house Testing: Conduct in-house testing of customer products to ensure specifications and quality standards are met.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues with Fristam equipment, providing timely solutions.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Fristam product line and mechanical systems, with the ability to communicate technical details to customers.
  • Communication Skills: Clear, concise communication abilities, both written and verbal, to interact with customers, internal teams, and global partners.
  • Computer Proficiency: Fundamental computer skills (typing, file management, navigation), with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with exceptional attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of 3A pump standards and industry requirements for sanitary and hygienic equipment.
  • Occasional Travel: Participate in occasional travel for customer support, trials, trade shows, or training events.

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or associate’s degree in a similar technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of technical support for a mechanical equipment company
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to speak, read and write fluently in Spanish a plus.

Fristam Pumps, a leading manufacturer of high quality stainless steel pumps, mixers and blenders, has an immediate openings on 2nd shift for CNC Machinists in our Middleton, WI manufacturing facility.

2nd shift position is Monday – Thursday, 2pm – 12am (10 hours)

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • This position includes set ups, checking routine programs and operating manual, automatic or semi-automatic NC machine tools and/or CNC machining equipment to perform standard and/or repetitive sequences of operations to meet close tolerance and finish requirements.

What You Will Bring with You (Qualifications/Experience):

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with manual, NC and/or CNC machining equipment and operations.
  • Knowledge of machine shop practices and techniques, machine operation and tooling required.
  • Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail a must.
  • Must be able to lift 40-45 lbs. frequently and sit or stand for long periods of time.
