Fristam Pumps USA, a leading manufacturer of pumps and mixers for the food, dairy and pharmaceutical industries, has an immediate opening for an Assembler in our Middleton, WI manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for assembling Fristam products according to drawings and specifications which meet the performance, quality, and customer delivery expectations.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications to ensure accurate assembly of products including preparation of components before assembly and testing, and inspection after completion at a normal level of efficiency to meet production standards.
  • Assemble parts or unit & attach unit to assembly, subassembly, or frame, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Perform lasering duties within the department.
  • Perform wiring operations in accordance with specifications as part of unit assembly.
  • Measure parts to determine tolerances, using precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
  • Do skilled fitting, aligning, adjusting and secondary machining when necessary.
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Prepare all pumps and parts to meet delivery schedules; visually inspect all pumps prior to boxing/crating to ensure a quality product is shipped.
  • Spray surfaces of equipment with protective material such as primer, paint, enamel or epoxy.
  • Provide service and support on customer visits as need.
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
  • Maintain departmental housekeeping standards as well as other duties assigned by the Assembly Supervisor.

What You Bring with You (Qualifications / Experience):

  • Understanding of simple to moderately complex mechanical systems
  • Ability to use a variety of precision measuring tools, electrical testing and gauging devices, basic hand tools and torque equipment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to prioritize daily workload and projects
  • Knowledge in the preparation and use of paints, epoxies and other coating applications.
  • Ability to work individually and in a team setting
  • Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Ability to travel to customers as needed
  • Must be able to read mechanical drawings and blueprints.
  • Effective verbal communication skills with positive attitude.
  • Dependable, accountable, and maximizes use of time.
  • Uses judgment and independent thinking to assure accurate completion of assignments while meeting quality standards.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Perform frequent grasping motions with their hands, pushing and pulling motions of arms when moving product or when activating assembly equipment and operating tools.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds frequently; up to 75 pounds occasionally.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical principles.
  • Experience with portable power tools and hand tools.
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Fristam Pumps USA, a leading manufacturer of pumps and mixers for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries, has an excellent opportunity for an experienced and driven Sales Manager to direct and implement sales activities of all products through our distribution network in the Midwest territory. In this key role, the successful individual will combine deep technical knowledge of Fristam products with strong relationship-building skills to expand market share and support the company’s growth goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the level of distribution in the territory (Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota) to achieve the desired sales results
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Fristam’s products and effectively convey Fristam quality, advantages, and benefits to the marketplace
  • Increase Fristam’s market share through effective prospecting of new customers
  • Visit targeted engineering firms
  • Provide training to Fristam’s distributor sales people and end-users on Fristam’s product uses and applications.
  • Provide sales targets to key distributors; develop an action plan with the distributor to include an End User target list for achieving these targets and provide quarterly feedback on the progress per product segment especially focusing on growth products
  • Collaborate with customers and Applications Engineering team to customize Fristam products to meet customer needs and evaluate issues as necessary
  • Provide updates on status of large quotes, growth product using Fristam’s quote follow up system
  • Submit visit schedules; expect a 30-day travel plan
  • Update the key account status in Fristam’s key account system
  • Prepare expense reports in a timely and professional manner

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understand 3A and other industry standards
  • Excellent technical skills and high attention to detail
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding sanitary process systems in the Food, Dairy, Beverage, Pharmaceutical, and Personal Care Industries

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related-discipline or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in pump sales or similar industry

This position is responsible for receiving, shipping, storing and distributing materials and products within the warehouse ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Receive all incoming parts and RGA’s including stocking into correct locations and receiving into the manufacturing software
  • Process all shipments to meet shipping deadlines
  • Label parts and locations
  • Accurately pull parts for customer orders in a timely manner
  • Loading and unloading of trucks
  • Palletize raw castings and forgings
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Support the Customer Service department with daily order activities

What You Bring with You (Qualifications / Experience):

A successful Shipping & Receiving Coordinator will possess the following:

  • A background in warehousing, including shipping, receiving and inventory preferred
  • A good attitude, team player, and a focus on safety
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. regularly; 75 lbs. occasionally
  • Ability to read and process documentation related to shipping, receiving, and storage
  • Demonstrated understanding and use of appropriate work instructions and procedures
  • High attention to detail
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to operate a forklift
  • Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as pushing/pulling, lifting, carrying, walking, bending and handling materials

Fristam Pumps, a leading manufacturer of high quality stainless steel pumps, mixers and blenders, has an immediate openings on 2nd shift for CNC Machinists in our Middleton, WI manufacturing facility.

2nd shift position is Monday – Thursday, 2pm – 12am (10 hours)

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • This position includes set ups, checking routine programs and operating manual, automatic or semi-automatic NC machine tools and/or CNC machining equipment to perform standard and/or repetitive sequences of operations to meet close tolerance and finish requirements.

What You Will Bring with You (Qualifications/Experience):

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with manual, NC and/or CNC machining equipment and operations.
  • Knowledge of machine shop practices and techniques, machine operation and tooling required.
  • Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail a must.
  • Must be able to lift 40-45 lbs. frequently and sit or stand for long periods of time.
