Fristam Pumps USA, a leading manufacturer of pumps and mixers for the food, dairy and pharmaceutical industries, has an immediate opening for an assembler in our Middleton, WI manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for assembling Fristam products according to drawings and specifications which meet the performance, quality, and customer delivery expectations.
What You’ll Be Doing: • Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications to assure accurate assembly of products. • Assembling parts or unit & attaching unit to assembly, subassembly, or frame, using hand tools and power tools. • Performing wiring operations in accordance with specifications as part of unit assembly. • Diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions. • Preparing all pumps and parts to meet delivery schedules; visually inspect all pumps prior to boxing/crating to ensure a quality product is shipped. • Spraying surfaces of equipment with protective material such as primer, paint, enamel or epoxy.
What You Bring with You (Qualifications/Experience): • High school diploma or equivalent with 1-3 years of related experience and/or training. • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints • Experience with portable power tools and hand tools. • Possess the desire to help maintain a lean working environment • Support continuous improvement projects • Ability to stand for long periods of time • Ability to lift 45 lbs frequently • Basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel • Previous manufacturing experience

This hands-on position will be responsible for leading design projects from inception to completion for new or special products through conducting critical and complex research on designs.
What You’ll Be Doing: • Establish engineering concepts and organize plan for research, development, design and integration into production • Research and design new products according to ISO 9001-2000 design project procedures • Create programs or recommend programs for the aid of designing new products • Aid in developing and accurately maintaining engineering documentation including drawings, change notices, and procedures • Troubleshoot problems in manufacturing area and find solutions to eliminate those problems • Provide engineering support to all areas of the company
What You Bring with You (Qualifications/Experience): • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in pump manufacturing, sanitary applications, or similar environment. • Previous experience designing pumps or rotary equipment desired • Demonstrated initiative and leadership through present and past job duties, projects, and assignments • Possess clear, confident communication, both written and verbal, with a variety of people • Demonstrated capability to initiate and complete projects and plans on-time • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD

What You’ll Be Doing: This position includes set-ups, checking routine programs and operating manual, automatic or semi-automatic NC machine tools and/or CNC machining equipment to perform standard and/or repetitive sequences of operations to meet close tolerance and finish requirements.
What You Bring with You (Qualifications/Experience): • Minimum of 3 years of experience with manual, NC and/or CNC machining equipment and operations • Knowledge of machine shop practices and techniques, machine operation and tooling required • Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail a must • Ability to lift 40-45 lbs. frequently and sit or stand for long periods of time

This position is responsible for providing support to manufacturing, purchasing, engineering and sales by conducting a variety of inspection activities.
What You’ll Be Doing: • Visually and dimensionally inspect purchased product • Perform Initial Inspection Reports on parts from new vendors to ensure they meet specifications • Review Material Certifications for traceability, maintain documents for efficient retrieval and create documentation packets for pumps as required • Create XRF Analysis Reports as required • Operate a pre-programmed CNC coordinate measuring machine when needed • Assist in gage calibration activities when needed • Support the Business Management System
What You Bring with You (Qualifications/Experience): • High school diploma or equivalent required with previous experience in a QA role preferred • Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite • Trained in the use of basic inspection equipment • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings • Must be able to frequently lift 40-45 pounds and occasionally lift 75 pounds • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time • Attention to detail to ensure a high level of quality parts
